General idea:
Algae For Healthy World, “A4HW” seeks to produce high value-added food products, which serve as functional foods useful in the culinary, food and industrial sectors. This project is in line with the “Blue Growth” policy of the EU’s H2020 programme, which aims to create sustainable growth in the marine and maritime economy, inter alia to create measures to develop technologies that respect the environment, promote job creation or develop measures to support small and medium-sized enterprises, all referred to as a general objective of this project. In this European context, it highlights the great potential of products derived from microalgae, but also the limited existing market niche and production problems. Therefore, this project aims at solving the problems in both areas, improving the production processes and opening new markets in the field of food as new culinary ingredients, taking into account the environmental friendliness of the technologies employed.
