General idea:
CREA&MAR is a cooperative experimental development initiative aimed at obtaining new commercial products from aquaculture fish, and from discards of both fish and by-products of aquaculture and processed fish products focused in Andalusia (Spain). The cosmetics markets are the target.
Description:
CREA&MAR’s objective is the development of new processed products from aquaculture and discarded species, through innovation in their processing and the development of new forms of presentation that allow the product to be differentiated in markets at an international level. The partnership of CREA&MAR is composed of 6 companies (ABELLÓ LINDE S.A.U., COMERCIAL ANGULAS DE TREBUJENA S.L., PIGMEA S.L., MAR CRISTAL MARILUM S.L. and UBAGO GROUP MARE S.L.) and brings together multidisciplinary industrial sectors ranging from the gas sector, production and marketing of aquaculture products, haute cuisine and the plastics sector, all with the aim of unifying efforts in the development of new groundbreaking products for the agri-food sector. To complete the knowledge of all partners, the initiative also has the participation of two research centers: the Aquaculture Technology Centre Foundation of Andalusia (CTAQUA) and the Plastic Technology Centre of Andalusia (ANDALTEC).
