General idea:
MACBIOBLUE is a demonstration and technology transfer project to help companies develop new products and processes in the field of Blue Biotechnology of the Macaronesia.

Description:
The objective is to develop demonstration actions that help companies to develop and implement technologies, products and processes in the field of blue biotechnology (focused on algae). It is intended that native species of microalgae (Isochrysis galbana, Dunaliella tertiolecta, Dunaliella salina, Tetraselmis striata and Navicola salinicola) and macroalgae (Lobophora variegata and Cystoseira abies marina) or others, which have been evaluated both in terms of their industrial potential and their applications in previous projects, will be developed through joint cooperation and technology transfer between research centres and companies to achieve future commercial exploitation.

The aim is therefore to make the results of previous Tecnological Center of canary Island projects, such as this one, available to the market:
BIOPOLIS, BIOPHARMAC, ALGABIOMAC, BIOTRANSFER, APRENMAC, BIOVAL.
